Best way from Sanford to Disney by car.

Remember copying this route ages ago from another post but was wondering is this the best route?. Or is it just the same heading onto the I4??.

On leaving Sanford the road sweeps round to head west.

About 3 miles you will see a bridge carrying the 417 over the road you are on.

Get into the Far Left lane before the bridge and join this road 417 Greenway, heading South and West , Tampa Disney parks area

This is a toll road and you will need a few dollars cash, but toll booths do give change.

Stay on this road till you come to exit No6 Aprox 43-44 miles from airport.

Leave on exit No 6.

Keep in the L/H Lane and go straight through the first set of lights.

Stay in the L/H lane. At the next traffic lights get into the ';far L/H lane'; This junction is highway 535. Turn left.

If you were to go straight on this would take you into the Disney Parks.

Best way from Sanford to Disney by car.

Depends on the time and which day you plan to make the journey. If you can avoid Orlando rush hour traffic, then the I-4 route is just as good if not more direct.

If you are heading for the Disney parks Disregard the last but one sentence. And Go straight on at the 535 cross roads. this will take you directly into the Disney Parks.

This is the simplest easiest and less congested route.

If this is your first time avoid I-4 on your first day. If you do use it you will find about 4 Disney exits some of which will lead onto some congested roads . This is just a straight drive once you have joined the 417 Greenway.

As Brit your plane will be landing when I-4 is at its most busiest time of day. this route will get you into Disney without even touching it.

I dont agree with the post that Cuts puts up He may be a local , but hes not thinking as a visitor who is used to driving on the other side of the road . Who expect all exits on interstates %26amp; freeway type roads to be ';ALL'; from one side . The americans place exits at both sides and sometimes in the middle as well.

Use the simple route its about 2 miles longer but it will be definitely quicker for you. avoid the 6-8 lanes of crawling traffic , Where most of the drivers got a bigger and better new horn for Christmas and are doing the best to wear it out so they can have a new model this Christmas.
