Marco Island Neighborhoods

My family and I are traveling to Marco Island for April Break. I%26#39;m am going to be renting a condo on the island, but don%26#39;t know the area too well. What is a good area to stay in that is somewhat away from the crowds and not too congested?

Thanks for the help

Marco Island Neighborhoods

Hi Jay,

There really are no bad areas of Marco Island! Have you picked out a condo yet? Some are inland, which would be quieter, and some are closer to the beach. Even being across the street from the beach wouldn%26#39;t be crazy, and would be nice walking distances to everything. Hope this helps some, feel free to ask more if needed!

Marco Island Neighborhoods

Old Marco is a condo hotel with 1 or 2 bedroom suites - not on the water but there are water views or garden views - It is tucked away at the end of a street in the Old Marco Area -

website is www.oldmarco.com

Marco has NO bad area...just rich and richer. the Marriott is the ';resort'; type place with a hefty amount of people or there is the Olde Marco Inn and Suites which is a more quiet place but nice

Jay,

My husband and I just stayed in a great house a few blocks from the beach. If you%26#39;re set on a condo, then anywhere is great but if you%26#39;d like a private home with pool/hot tub/grill/and all of the amenities you will need...look into www.marcoislandfloridavacation.com - we stayed in the home on Abbeville Court and just loved it. We biked everywhere and grilled out by the pool most nights. We walked on the beach every morning and drove to Tigertail Beach.

We just wanted to unplug for a couple of weeks and we couldn%26#39;t have picked a better place to do so. We%26#39;re very busy people and love to dine out but we just didn%26#39;t want to leave, we loved hanging out by the pool except for ';happy hour';. (I think the people on the island live for happy hour) With the place we were at we could bike/walk about 2 blocks and have our pick of 5 different restaurants.

The homeowners also have a home on Algonquin, which has a boat dock if you%26#39;re interested in boating.

It depends on what you%26#39;re looking for but this home had absolute privacy and the house was beautiful.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Hi Boatgirl -

I%26#39;ve been looking at that Abbeville Court house. Can you tell me if there was sun during the day for tanning?? A/C in the house? You really loved it? Thanks so much.

Here is another one -

Pool with spa - Southeast exposure for all day tanning - walk to Tigertail beach - air conditioned
