how far is the Marriott (Pensacola Beach) from Pens airport?

Hi,

We are traveling to Pensacola Beach in June and want to know approx) how far the Marriott on Pensacola Beach is from the Pensacola airport? We were told 30 min one time, and then someone else told us 45 min.. We are renting a car. Also, is there any good restraunts close by to where we are staying?

This is our first time going to Pensacola Beach and we have kids ages 7 %26amp; 3. I hope we made a good choice hotel wise, I have basically checked out every hotel, motel, and condo on the beach and have heard some pretty good things about the Marriott. Thanks so much !!!

I would say it is less than 30 minutes from the airport to the Beach. It%26#39;s definitely an easy drive unless you%26#39;re traveling during the afternoon rush hour. If that%26#39;s the case, then getting over the Bay Bridge will take a while.

Your location is perfect. Right across the street is a collection of shops, liquor store, laundromat, and a couple of restaurants. Paddy O%26#39;Leary%26#39;s Irish Pub is there as well as a pizza place and a Subway. Other stuff too that I just can%26#39;t remember off the top of my head.

You can easily walk from your hotel to the main part of the Beach. On your way there, you%26#39;ll pass another shopping area which has a huge beach gear store. There%26#39;s a good bagel place in that shopping area too.

Two really great places to take the kids for dinner is Flounder%26#39;s and Peg Leg Pete%26#39;s. Both have outside play areas for them (in the sand of course!). You can walk to Flounder%26#39;s but you%26#39;ll have to take the trolley or drive to Peg Leg%26#39;s. Flounder%26#39;s is right next door to the Boardwalk which is where you%26#39;ll find more restaurants and shops.

There%26#39;s a mini golf place close to your hotel too if you%26#39;re interested. Right next door to that is Sidelines which is a pretty good place to eat too.
