Alamo

We%26#39;re using Alamo for the first time this upcoming week. Every year we%26#39;ve used Hertz, but their prices are insane next to Alamo%26#39;s.

Hoping that Alamo will save us time as well, since they%26#39;re on site at the airport and for Hertz we had to take a shuttle bus.

Does anyone have any comments on this particular Alamo?

Thanks much!!!

Alamo

I%26#39;ve used them a few times in MCO and they were always competent. Just need to go down one level, complete the paperwork, then cross the road to the carpark and select your car! Sorted!

The only thing that can be a pain is if it%26#39;s busy, but just send the driver to Alamo whilst the other%26#39;s in party wait to collect the luggage.

Alamo

Totally agree with tcc - Alamo always been fine. Easy to locate cars %26amp; I like the fact you can select one yourself, within the car grade you have purcahsed.

Thank you both for the peace of mind!!!!

I%26#39;ve used Alamo several times and have never had a problem?

Do you have an Entertainment book? The Alamo coupons really are a good deal. Even if there isn%26#39;t a coupon for your situation, the discount code will save you money on the reservation.

And look near the desk for self service computer check in. Anyone can use them if they have a reservation. I saw 40 people in line, thought, ';Oh NO!'; then had my wife wait in line while I tried the computer. It worked, and I was in my car in 10 minutes total. I even shouted to disgrunteled folks in line to use the computer. Some skeptically tried, then I hope others followed.

More %26amp; more companies are offering these self service computers.

Also, sign up ahead of the trip for their ';frequent renter'; program called Quicksilver. Sometimes they%26#39;ll have a Quicksilver line which is like ';first class'; check in.

Finally, Alamo does offer online advance check-in in Orlando. Print out your docs, then go straight to the cars %26amp; pick one out in your category. Drive to the security gate %26amp; show your i.d. %26amp; credit card, and off you go! See their website for info.

Bye,

I used Alamo when I was at Orlando in May 2006 and May 2007.

it%26#39;s very convenient and easy.

do check out promotion codes at www.mousesaver.com.

Tips: you must top up the gas before you return, I think they charge $5.99/gallon.

Find a cheap gas prices at http://www.orlandogasprices.com/index.aspx

You do not need to go to the desk at MCO if you are renting from Alamo-they allow you to check in online, you print out the paperwork, select your car at the airport and ust show the papers to the guard on the way out along with your credit card and license. That%26#39;s why I prefer to rent from Alamo, much faster and easier than any of the others.

We just used Alamo in March and had no problems at all. We had prepaid online so we just used the computers there to check in and went and chose our vehicle. Have a good trip.

Wow! Reading these posts makes me wonder why we ever used Hertz at all!!!!!

Alamo sounds incredibly convenient! Thank you again to all who responded, as I%26#39;m anticipating smooth sailing!!!
