Ideas for rainy days ?

Rainy season will be just starting so remember that once the rain starts (around 3pm) it%26#39;ll be gone in an hour on most days.

But, to answer your question...some fun things to do would be 1) Visit the Edison Home (where Thomas Edison spent his vacation time and has a laboratory just as he left it and includes a museum of all his inventions.) Henry Ford vacationed with Edison and bought the place right next to his so they could be close - a tour of that is included in the price of the Edison home tour. Very educational. 2) For shopping, we have a Tanger Outlet Mall close to the beach with about 45 stores. 3) Miromar Outlet is a bit farther (probably a 1/2 hour drive) but there are tons of stores (a bit more expensive than Tanger) %26amp; places to eat. They used to have water ski shows on the lake next door at 3pm on Saturdays but I don%26#39;t know if they%26#39;ll be doing that this year or not. 4) And another thing would be to visit the Shell Factory in North Fort Myers (take US 41 North - it%26#39;s easy). It%26#39;s just a huge souviner store but there are some pretty cool things there. If it%26#39;s not raining too hard visit their petting zoo and outdoor bumper boats, too.

I hate to admit it, but in Florida there is a lack of options for indoor entertainment. I have 3 smaller kids (8, 6, %26amp; 5) and on the days where it%26#39;s too hot to be outside or rainy there isn%26#39;t much for us to do. The shopping malls here don%26#39;t even have indoor play areas for kids. It%26#39;d be a great place to start an indoor activity business for someone.

Have fun here....hope it%26#39;s nice and sunny for you!!
