Westin

Hello, going to the Westin in March, how far of a walk to the Broadwalk? Any free transportation from the hotel ?

Westin

Hollywood says it has starte free transportation on Thur, Fri Sat %26amp; Sun....from the Diplomat Ocean Front along A1A N to Hollywood Beach Blvd, W on HBB to the AYoung Circle Arts %26amp; entertainment section, and back again.

But times are not condusive to staying there for awhile...as it was reported the last bus would be at 11 PM ( great for the Jazz %26amp; Dance clubs!!)

The only other free transportation is run buy Starwood....and the is between the Diplomat Beach Resort and Spa, and the even nice Diplomat Country Club hotel, which is in Hallandale.

The route is pretty short, S on A1A over the Halalnadle BEach Blvd Bridge past the Wal Mart and then turns R onto Diplomat PArkway (Corner has Diplomat Mall), and drives a few blocks to the Country Club entrance.....where the only 5 star golf course is located in S Fl.

The B%26#39;Walk can be walked too...if you like to walk.

You need to walk N on A1A to just past Magnolia. THe next block-Jasmine you need to walk righ to Surf Road S which is also Hollywood Bwalk S. Continue on this %26#39;alley%26#39; for about 5 blocks (past the public library %26amp; the twin Summit Condos) and the B%26#39;Walk separates from Surf Rd and is right on the sand. It continues N all the way to Balboa.....which is about one block short of Dania Beach Blvd.....a very long walk. Services (Like restaurants, stores, stands) are located mostly between Hollywood Beach Blvd, and N to Garfield.

Then mainly small mom %26amp; pop Inns, and after the North Beach Park...(just past Sheridan)...nothing...just walk %26amp; sand %26amp; Parked cars.

Westin

Thank you KenK, good info. Do you have an approx in miles from the Westin to, the boardwalk?

Today the car said 3/10ths of a mile n on A1A.....but you need to know that I don%26#39;t think there are anysidewalks on the ocean side of A1A . (THere are sidewalks, but the contractors building the Westin Residences, the Palms, the Trump International, and one other one (all beachfront highrises....there isn%26#39;t much room to walk.

And thats just to the start of S Surf Road that leads into the standard B%26#39;Walk.

is there a public parking lot that i can use to park for less than $18 per day? thank u

Where? Near the Westin or in other areas?

There is a parking tower next to the Hollywood Beach Tower %26amp; Ramada Hollywood Beach Hotel at the end of Hollywood Blvd and A1A (just over the ICWB0

Also one on Johnson Street....not sure of pricing. Both are too far to walk to the Westin Diplomat. There are meters on the streets just off A1A. That one dollar an hour. Some areas have no overnight parking signage.

Thank you for your reply...i guess i will have to use Westin%26#39;s.
