Fairfield Inn at the marriot village shuttle ?

HI everyone,looking for information on the shuttle from the Marriott village to Disney parks,Reading various sites reviews on the Fairfield Inn at the Marriott village

and all confirm shuttle leaves for disney,however conflicting reports indicate that this is free ,others say its a $5 charge?Hence the confusion can someone who has recently visited the Marriott village confirm if there is a charge for the shuttle to Disney parks?

it all depends who you book through to get the free shuttle look for complimentary transport to the parks when you are booking your accommodation.

Hi, we were at the springhill suites in the marriot village last year. We booked with Virgin and our shuttle to Disney was free. However, there is a charge if you go to Seaworld or Universal (we found it cheaper with four of us to hop in a taxi). There is a $5 charge for Disney shuttle for some guests as the previous poster says, it depends who you book with. I have checked the Virgin brochure for next year as we go again in April 08 and that still says free shuttles to Disney. The shuttles were very good when we used them by the way ran to time and frequently 3 or 4 times in the morning and every hour from various of the disney parks from about 4pm to park close coming back in the evening.

Thank you for the replies we booked flights and accommodation through e bookers,hotel was through octopus travel.... have a feeling we will have to pay for the shuttle..however as there are 4 of us I think it will be cheaper getting a taxi to market place and getting Disney transport to the parks.

Kerzamac, If you get a taxi to Downtown Disney you will have to get disney transport to a disney hotel and then to a park - this can take forever - we did it using the hotel shuttle, disney hotel, downtown disney, typhon lagoon - it took us nearly 2 hours! If there are four of you the RETURN transfer will cost you $20 alot cheaper than a taxi to disney (even to just downtown disney)

Thanks Mitchellen,did not realise it was $5 return,I assumed this was one way.

When you check in you will be given a pass for the shuttles, which you have to take to mears transport (which is on site) to get you tickets each day. If you are not given one, ask at checkin, say you thought that transfers were included they can only say no.
