Best Upscale Romantic Relaxing Accomodations???

My husband and I are planning a second honeymoon for about last week in May - 1st week in June.

Any great places to stay? low on kids and pets and high on pampering, good food and the beach?

Most of Okaloosa Island/FWB is condos.... So not sure what you are looking for in the ';pampering'; department, but this would be like going to your own place. No one fluffing your pillows or leaving mints on them. No room service. I%26#39;m not familiar with the few hotels on the island. Maybe they do???

The newest resort is the Azure resort %26amp; would be the most upscale, too. It is quite nice :-) Most resorts don%26#39;t allow renters to bring pets. Owners are sometimes allowed, if they live there.

We do enjoy the El Matador resort because it is the very last reosrt with miles %26amp; miles of undeveloped beach/island from that point on :-) Great for LONG beach walks %26amp; often very isolated :-)

Elizabeth, I think Ft. Walton is a great second honeymoon location, but that depends on how upscale you want. Most of the places are beach front condos %26amp; some hotels. There are several newer condos that look real nice, but they%26#39;re not a spa %26amp; bar type resort. If you want less kids I think one of the smaller complexes would be good(less people in general). There are plenty of good places to eat %26amp; the beach is very nice %26amp; not crowded. Destin is 10 minutes away. If you want a more upscale place to stay, you might look at the Destin Forum. There are very nice places there, but it%26#39;s also a lot more crowded. Ft. Walton is more laid back. Resort Quest has a good website that might be helpful.

The Azure is by far the most upscale units in FWB. I figure it%26#39;s expensive by the looks of it. Destin is more upscale and much more expensive than prob ANYTHING in FWB. If u love seafood may I recommend STAFF%26#39;S. We just got back this week and ate at may restaurants but IMO it was by far the best. Also if u want to explore the shopping restaurants,etc. I recommend Destin Commons. It was so unique and reminded me of Walt Disney World with it%26#39;s variety and stores u don%26#39;t see often. I know its getting close but prices jump a hundred dollars a night or more on May 26th....summer season starts, so you could save quite a bit if you go before then.

If you really want Pampering - then the place to stay is the Sandestin Hilton - it has a Deluxe Spa on the premises - All rooms are beach front - Seagars Restaurant is Top-Notch and the service is outstanding - you will leave there feeling like Royalty. That is our special place to go and eat on Birthdays and Anniversaries.

You will be coming down right at the beginning of Summer Rates so beware - they are steep...

In FWB - The Ramada Inn has been around for a long time and has a really unique Grotto Pool.
