Boating over to Sanibel

Does anyone know if there are any public docks on Sanibel. We were hoping to boat over from Ft Myers, but not sure of where to dock. Or is there any beach that people anchor off of and wade to shore? (Like at Ft. Myers Beach)

Same question about Pine Island and Matlache.

Boating over to Sanibel

Hello, I don%26#39;t know of ';public docks'; on Sanibel (doesn%26#39;t mean there are none) but some of the restaurants/lodgings places have dock space... like Tween Waters Inn. Except for the southern part of the island I would not ';beach the boat'; on the gulf side unless you are an experienced boater because the tide changes quickly and sometimes swiftly. I am especially thinking of around blind pass.

Pine Island and Matlache... I think the same about dock space, restaurants/lodgings... otherwise boat launching areas in the middle of nowhere.

FYI for a nice day%26#39;s run from FMB I like to go, North Captiva, Cabbage Key... refuel at Boca Grande %26amp; return.

Ciao

Boating over to Sanibel

We are in Bonita Springs and we boat over to Sanibel all the time. Whenever we have company on the boat, we always get pics of everyone with the lighthouse in the background.

We usually anchor off shore and spend time just enjoying the water or walking the beach. Just cruise up and down the coastline and you will see where people just pull in and anchor.
