typhoon lagoon gutted

sorry to give bad news on this forum but been on the disney website and went on operational update and typhoon lagoon is closed from 28 oct and by the looks of it all of november

does this happen every year and is it to much to ask but do they ever change these dates around

I think they alternate the years that they close Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. It%26#39;s unlikely to change I%26#39;m afraid!

We have gone many times during the Fall and Winter months and one of them is always closed. I know most people like TL but BB is just as fun, we enjoy the Tropical feeling you get there and it doesn%26#39;t feel as crowded as TL for some reason.

They do a rehab of both Disney waterparks each year, and in recent years they have NOT been alternating them as they once did. Seems as if Typhoon gets the first half of the ';cool weather'; each year, and Blizzard Beach the second half.

The ';switch over'; takes place sometime in January, usually, when Typhoon opens back up and Blizzard closes on the same day, so at least one is open all year.

The rehabs of both water parks do happen every year.

i%26#39;m visiting orlando in May and both parks should be open as well as seaworlds new park aquatica. good news for waterpark lovers.

wet n wild is open all year long and they are awsome! much better than the lame disney parks.

I%26#39;ve been to BB twice!! TL has never been open! It was shut in nov 1998 and nov 2000 and I was hoping to go this nov but it%26#39;s closed again!! I would like to try TL at least once? I wonder which nov it will be open next?

sorry to say but wet n wild was good and i really like it when i visited last year, however i then visited both the disney waterparks and they where far superior in every way...

Cromo13; Which May are we talking about for the new water park at Sea World???? It wasn%26#39;t anything like finished 10 days ago .

And in fact there was a notice saying when it was going to open. cannot remember what it was but it was not this year.

I am with Semi on ths one Wet %26amp; Wild have all the best and newest attractions. Disney have never put in anything new, well almost never
